I have installed the following games that are available on the Ubuntu repositories - Torcs, Trigger, Open Arena (based on Quake 3). Unfortunately my graphics card does not render these quite well. Time for a new machine, I guess!
$ sudo apt-get install trigger torcs openarenaLinuX-gamers.Net has an excellent repository of information related to games for Linux.
